Social Media Sidebar

Exclusive to the GW Drupal Classic theme, the Social content type can be used to display linked social media accounts related to your organization.

Note: the presence of the Social content type in the Editorial theme is an artifact of the Classic theme. It is non-functional.

Once created, the Social content type can then be displayed through the Social Media Icon Sidebar content set, the Header, or the Local Footer of a GW Drupal Classic theme website.

By default, the homepage of the GW Drupal Classic theme website has a content pane on standby for displaying the Social Media Icon Sidebar. To allow yours to display there, you simply need to give it a Site Placement value of "Home" before it is published.

If the Social Media Icon Sidebar does not display, that likely means that its content pane has been deleted. A Site Administrator will need to restore the GW Content Set - Social Media Icon Sidebar Home Page content pane back to the homepage via the Customize this Page button in order for the feature to work as expected.
